He was really slimy!

Miss you,

KC's Sightseeing in Philadelphia

Hey there, Jason! I'm a bit behind on my blog but I had a few minutes and thought I'd get caught up some. About a month ago, I stopped in Philadelphia to visit the Vanho family. They actually live outside of Philadelphia, but they took me in to see the sights.

First we went to see Independence Hall, where lots of famous people signed the Declaration of Independence (I'm sure you've probably heard of John Hancock, Benjamin Franklin, and Thomas Jefferson). You can see Independence Hall in the background of this picture...it's the brick building with the bell tower on top.

After that, we went to see the Liberty Bell

Went to Ben Franklin's print shop...

went to the first post office of the United States, saw lots of cool buildings, and even saw Betsy Ross's house, where the first flag was made. We didn't get to see Betsy Ross though...she must have been having lunch.

I was even in town during the World Series, but I didn't bring the Phillies much luck :o( It was really cool to watch the games with a bunch of Phillies fans though, and they even had some Phillies gear in my size that they let me wear to cheer on the team.

I will post more later, but just wanted to make sure you're not worrying about me. I'm having a great time, but I can't wait to get back home! See you soon!

K.C.'s visit to Nova Scotia, Canada

Hi Jason, K.C. here!
My time in Nova Scotia is over now and I am off traveling again, but I wanted to let you know what a great time I had with the Green's in Nova Scotia. Well, except for one little thing, which I will tell you about soon!
It all started off really well. Anna, Nathan and Taylor's mom, took me for a massage! It was so relaxing! All the knots in my back from traveling got worked out! One hour of bliss!

Nathan and Taylor want to thank you for the tattoos, they each picked one out and they loved them!
Nathan picked out a dinosaur and Taylor chose a spaceship. Here's a photo of Nathan showing you his tattoo.

Do you know where I am in these pictures??????

You guessed it!
In the operating room!

While I was visiting with the Green's, I started to have pains in my belly. Anna took me to the doctor and they found out that it was my appendix! I needed to have an appendectomy! Lucky for me, Anna works in the O.R., and she was able to be the scrub nurse for my surgery! She took really good care of me. I feel SO much better now!
When I arrive back home, you will see the sutures (some people call them stitches, but the technical name is sutures) on the right lower quadrant of my abdomen (that's technical talk too, for where on my belly the stitches are). Don't worry, I wasn't down and out for very long! Once I had some time to rest after the surgery, we had some more fun and by then it was time for me to head back to the United States to my next destination.

Here's a photo of Nathan and Taylor having a picnic in their front yard. This was taken while I was resting after my operation. Nathan used his binoculars to check on me to make sure I was doing well inside the house that day. It wasn't long before we were all running around playing in the yard!

Thanks Jason, for sending me to Canada! It was the trip of a lifetime!!!

Love, K.C., Nathan, Taylor, and Anna!

Trip to the Dentist!!

Hey Jason!!!

Guess what?! While I was in Wisconsin, I got to go to the dentist!!!!! It was so cool--more bears should get to go!

The chairs were HUGE, but still worked for a little guy like me. I had Xrays taken of my teeth (good news--no cavites!), they were all polished up and I got to watch some really neat videos about brushing and flossing. The videos had monkeys or dogs doing the talking and teaching, but even though it was a fellow bear doing the videos, they were still pretty good.

I had a lot of fun in Wisconsin--there was plenty of snow and COLD weather there! Michigan is my next stop, I bet I have a blast there too.

Here's some pictures of me at the dentist--I asked nicely and got new toothbrushes for you and Haley =)

Snowbound!

Hi Jason!

I was supposed to be outta here on Friday. But then a snowstorm from Canada came through Minneapolis and I got stuck here! At least I have some time to play in the snow. It was so beautiful when it was falling - really huge flakes coming down so fast that it made me dizzy!

Now the streets have been plowed by really big snow plows and everyone's out moving around again. The snow is just perfect for making a snowman or building a fort.

I'm all packed up and ready to go to Wisconsin on Monday. Talk to you soon!

Love,
K.C.

p.s. Sometimes, when you're inside for a long time, you get a little silly. Here's a little video of me dancing (and Elly helping) with a silly puppy dog Elly got from her grandpa for Valentine's Day. We're kinda nutty!

Hello from Minneapolis!

Hi Jason!

I bet you were wondering where I disappeared to! I'm here in Minneapolis, Minnesota, visiting Elly and her mom and dad. (Elly's mom is helping me write this post right now so you'll probably see her signature at the end.)

I've been here for a little over week and done a lot of fun things! I'll post more about my trip to a Chinese New Year celebration and the Minnesota Science Museum later. But I just wanted to say hi for now and let you know that I'm safe and sound.

I think I'm going to head out to Wisconsin pretty soon here. When I first got to Minnesota, it was really warm, but now it's starting to get cold again so I'm outta here!

Talk to you soon!

Love,
KC
(and Elly and Kerri)
